We would like to wish all our visitors a very Happy New Year! We're only 9 days in, but its looking like 2016 is going to be a packed one for the Bristol Concert Wind Band family.
Regular readers will be aware that BCWB have been looking for a new musical director, and auditions are now underway for the next few weeks. Our first concert of the year will be on 16th April, when we will be taking to the stage at Kingswood School in Bath in aid of Tumaini Children's Charity.
We'll then be holding our regular Spring Concert in Henleaze on the 14th May. Late Spring will hopefully see Blown Away! and Winds of Change run concerts and performances of their own, and we're working hard to pull together a programme of outside gigs in and around Bristol for all bands in the Summer. We welcome suggestions and invites to play in your area - just drop us a line by email, phone, Facebook or Twitter.
We are also on the lookout for new recruits - if you are a player of brass, percussion or double-reed instruments, or fancy taking one up we'd love to hear from you! We have vacancies in Trumpets, Horns, Lower Brass, Oboe, Cor Anglais, Bassoon and Percussion in most of our bands, and often have instruments available to lend.
